Description

Following text is usefull only for someone who speaks Czech - so it is in Czech.

Doplnil jsem všechny chybějící překlady s výjimkou localflavor a huminize. Dvě úpravy by mohli být problematické:

  1. Změnil jsem způsob, jak zvolit množné číslo. Nyní je správně 21 uživatel a 101 uživatel. Já se domnívám, že vhodnější je 21 uživatelů a 101 uživatelů. Dokládají to i následující odkazy:

http://interval.cz/clanky/hrichy-pro-sileneho-korektora-clovek-versus-psani-cislovek/
http://www.ujc.cas.cz/poradna/odpo.html#dveste

  1. Dále jsem se potýkal s tím, že současná verze moc nepočítala se skloňováním češtiny. Já jsem se všechny problematická místa snažil nahradit tvarem, který sice není úplně přesným překladem, ale po dosazení prvního pádu není nesmyslný. Příklad:

#: contrib/admin/templates/admin/filter.html:2
#, python-format
msgid " By %(filter_title)s "
msgstr " Dle: %(filter_title)s "

Dávám si tento ticket do čtečky - na případné komentáře tedy mohu reagovat.

There is no guarantee that any Czech speaker will see this ticket and the patch will certainly not be being applied by a Czech speaker. Please repost the comment in English so that we can evaluate it.

You might also wish to post a message (in English) to the django-i18n mailing list, since all the translators should be subscribed to that.

Hi guys - can someone please translate that into English so we know what's happening with this ticket?

comment:4 by Malcolm Tredinnick, 17 years ago

Simon: Radek's the Czech translation maintainer. He's following it up with the original poster. We discussed this on django-i18n.

So another update has been added and I still have no idea what this ticket is about. If no English explanation is posted within two weeks, I'm going to close this (or a triager can) pending some information we can use to judge the validity of the ticket. There's no way I'm committing a patch from an anonymous contributor without an explanation of what is intended.

Sorry folks for the czech texts here. Therefore we have moved the discussion here: http://groups.google.com/group/django-cs/browse_thread/thread/d50af79be87b36c3

which is in Czech either.

Generally the ticket is about several changes of Czech translations:

  1. change of the applicability of the plural translations in order to follow new and more natural grammar - this has been agreed on the Czech list
  1. change of the "sentence" composition for action strings - this has been disagreed on the Czech list
  1. updates with a few open questions

Anyway I greatly welcome the work pm13 has done and thank him for opening these points.

mtredinnick, do you think we should break this into separate tickets, so already agreed things could be applied?

Thanks for the patience!

Radek

Radek: thanks for an explanation. Good to know it's being attended to. Feel free to open separate tickets if you like. All I want to know is which patch I should apply. I'd like somebody to be at least willing to put their name on that assertion, so I don't want to just apply patches from anonymous contributors if I don't know anything about the motivation, since it could be that they are completely opposite to what the other Czech translators are intending. Sounds like you are all doing things the proper way, though, and working out each issue.

Are you happy for the third patch on this ticket to be applied? Is that the current state of play? Just let me know which bits are ready for trunk.

The third patch replaces previous versions - I use it and I am satisfied with it. Also Radek read through this one (he wrote it in the czech mailing list).
