roadmap charts (http://code.djangoproject.com/roadmap) consider "invalid", "duplicate", etc. tickets as active, thus give incorrectly pessimistic statistics of progress.

I just realised what you might be seeing here: Trac shows tickets that recently changed state in some lists, even though they aren't counted in the totals for that list. So if you were seeing rows in italics, they're recent changes. They aren't counted in the totals.

This doesn't look to be correct, at least not for the milestones we care about. Even if it was true, it's pretty much irrelevant, since that would be a Trac bug, not something we're going to do anything about.
