Description

The app label is used (at least) for admin permissions, database tables, dumpdata/loaddata.

This ticket is a subset of #3591 which can be dealt with independently.

It was part Arthur Koziel's original GSoC proposal for app loading.

It will certainly be easier after #21682.

Status: new → closed

None of these prefixes can be set in Meta currently, so there's nothing to refactor -- and app-loading is primarily a refactoring.

If there's a need for customizing these prefixes, this should go through the regular feature request process. App-loading may make it easier to provide a good API, that's all!

To be clear, I'm not rejecting the idea, I'm just saying it doesn't belong to my scope for app-loading.
