Description
In this pharagraph about auth: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.3/topics/auth/#storing-additional-information-about-users there is a link to the django book. The book is not updated so the link should be dropped and - I think - there should be added some detail like the ones on the django book.

This is actually taken care of by #16207 along with a few other doc improvements, so I'm closing this one as dupe.

This is not critical but it makes sense to remove links to the somewhat outdated Django Book (even if this particular topic on user profiles is still relevant) and to merge useful bits from the book (e.g. code samples) into the documentation.
