Description
Upon registering for an account here, I had to try several times to get a username that the site considered valid, yet I wasn't given any guidelines as to what is allowed in a username (apparently spaces and periods are not). Although one solution is to change Django to specify that sort of thing, I think that it's probably best left up to the designer. However, I don't know of any better way of contacting whoever would be able to change that on this site than through Trac, so here it is.
