Description
We see frequent questions on IRC where new users are getting hung up when trying to use the Django Book as their introduction. Besides the obvious problem with missing pieces, there are subtler issues: One concrete example is the use of function objects in URLconfs -- not possible in 0.95, which is the version many of them download.
My suggestion: a link to the current docs on the Django Book home page.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
We added a bold note to the Django Book home page that says:
"Note: if you want to follow along with the examples, you'll need to install the latest development version of Django (not version 0.95, which is the latest official release)."
