I just discovered this website about the dawn of Python 2.7 :
and Django project already did the job :D
It would be nice to advertise this ?

Thanks for the report, however it's not an issue in Django. Feel-free to create PR in the python3statement and add Django to it. Django 1.11 supports Python 2.7 and it will be supported until April 2020.
