Description
I just checked the tutorial with a new Django user and it is astonishing to see how it just finishes half-way - this was an extremely frustrating experience for the new user. In fact I did not find any instructions about how to deploy a Django app to a server in the tutorial - this should be added as a new chapter to make it complete. Really wondering how this could have survived for so many years in that incomplete state.

We have a Deploying Django "howto" section. I don't think deployment is suited for our tutorials considering all the different ways Django could be deployed -- Django itself doesn't want to endorse one platform over another. You might enjoy the Django Girls tutorial which has a deployment section using PythonAnywhere. If you want to discuss the idea further, you could write to the DevelopersMailingList if you have a specific proposal. Thanks.
