Description

The screenshots of the admin interface shown in part 2 of the tutorial don't match what one sees when working through the tutorial.

To give an example, the screenshots show the index page with a Core section; I don't see that when working through tutorial 2, but I do get a Sites section displayed on the index page.

A little while ago I took new screenshots.

I will update these again and attach them.

  • Owner changed from jacob to anonymous
  • Status changed from new to assigned
  • Summary changed from Tutorial screenshots of admin interface need updating to [patch] Tutorial screenshots of admin interface need updating

See the various screenshots at http://www.tendra.org/~asmodai/Django-images.zip

They also include images where the appropriate parts have been highlighted to illustrate more clearly what changed.

Couldn't attach them since there's a limit on the attachment size.

  • Patch needs improvement set
  • Triage Stage changed from Unreviewed to Accepted

Could you please rename the images to match those of the existing ones so the update will go smoother.

Would not help. The time I need to, after 8-9 months, line up the names with the horrendous --from a technical writing point of view-- names currently used is the same time someone with commit privileges/page edit privileges needs. So in effect it would be a doubling of time.
