Description

I quick-installed mod_wsgi, then followed your quick setup. It wouldn't work until I changed ROOT_URLCONF = 'mysite.urls' to ROOT_URLCONF = 'urls'. The error I was getting was also pretty unhelpful.

Anyway, then it worked!

It might be useful to add that in the instructions...

This really looks like a PYTHONPATH issue, which is a contentious topic discussed in #15058.
