Release prompted by http://www.djangoproject.com/weblog/2011/feb/08/security/. Perhaps they only got committed to 1.1.x branch (I haven't checked)?

No - we haven't historically done release notes for point releases unless something has changed; in this case, we didn't remember that the security release was going to induce a backwards incompatibility, so we forgot to include it in the release notes. 1.2.5 release notes already existed for completely separate reasons.

Offhand I'm not seeing 1.1.4 release notes anywhere... not in trunk, not in tags/releases/1.1.4, not in branches/releases/1.1.X, not in branches/releases/1.2.X... Did release notes for 1.1.4 actually get written?
