My employer, the FSF, is looking for a new full-time employee, and the primary skill set we are looking for is Python wizardry (specifically we have a lot of Django, and Zope/Plone and other systems we want to move to Django). The FSF is a really great place to work - fun, motivated people in a very friendly environment - and we of course encourage people to continue working on any Free Software projects they may already be into outside of work. If these happen to be things we also use, then you can get paid for your fun work :-) -- our previous Python Programmer / Sys Admin had a side business doing Satchmo (Django based ecommerce framework) consulting, which worked out really well for both him and us. I'm trying to find time to hack on and deploy Bcfg2 (which uses Django for web reporting). If interested please see full posting and application instructions at [http://www.fsf.org/news/python-programmer-systems-administrator]. |
