Description
I think we should update the documentation about compressing JavaScript in the url: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/internals/contributing/writing-code/submitting-patches/#compressing-javascript . Talking about Mac OS 10.5 looks so old since it released on 2007 and no longer supported, 10.6+ would be better. What do you think?

For OS 10.6 Java 1.6 comes pre-installed no more configurations needed. But for 10.7+ you need to install the JDK from oracle website. As mentioned here http://www.java.com/en/download/apple.jsp
So yeah we add this note and a link to where people can download the JDK would be fine.

Can we simply remove the note or are there any extra steps needed on more recent Mac OS versions?
