Description
Looked high and low for examples of how to do this in the documentation to no avail. I eventually found the following article:

it was excellent and exactly what i would have liked to see in your doco (or something similar). Thought it was worth passing on for future improvements to the documentation.

Accessing attributes is clearly documented in the template docs.
