Google Code In 2010

Google Code In is a program, run by Google, for students age 13-18. More information is available on the Google Open Source Blog.

Tasks for each category.


Tasks related to writing or refactoring code

  • Speed up our test suite.
  • Your task here!


Tasks related to creating/editing documents

  • Review the markup of existing documentation for consistency
  • Review the existing documentation content for completeness (e.g., is there a reference guide for everything we have a topic guide)
  • New tutorials -- testing, and deployment being two obvious candidates, but there's plenty of room for improvement
  • Tweak the CSS (and/or markup) to improve layout of documentation pages (duplicated headings introduced by markup, etc).

Quality Assurance

Tasks related to testing and ensuring code is of high quality

  • Improve our buildbot system.
  • Help triage our backlog of open bugs.
  • Identify areas of weak test coverage, suggest improvements
