It works with Django==1.11.1. This is due to a change in this file: $VIRTUAL_ENV/lib/python2.7/site-packages/django/db/backends/postgresql/introspection.py If the file from Django==1.11.1 is copied to Django==1.11.6, the ""migrate"" works again. The problem is not present with postgresql-9.2.21 (RHEL 7.4).
